Born in Oxford and raised in Abingdon, UK, I was always surrounded by missed photo opportunities. Although at the time I was never that interested in film photography, purely because of the costs involved in development and film. I've always worked very close to the digital format. I then moved to Bournemouth and I was greeted by some of the most amazing and beautiful landscape surroundings i.e. The New Forest and southern coastline. I will always be producing landscapes so long as I can walk and the outdoors in the countryside is where I feel, I belong. In my current job role, I am an IT client administrator to a growing company, so I work very close to the world of gadgets. As soon as the quality of digital photography improved, I invested in a slr, although not a true slr, the Kyocera 410 pulled off some fine images despite taking a rough ride along my travels. The Kyocera being limited to only automated modes held me back on some photos, so I invested in my next camera, a Nikon SLR. I could not fault this camera in any way at all, all the buttons are in the right places and the body is so solid and smaller than most slr's it was ideal for travelling. Since then I have invested in another Nikon SLR as a backup and support camera for weddings, I could also get away with using my existing lenses. I love working with people and when it comes to taking good portraits I like to take control and produce amazing, creative and meaningful photos. I now have a back log of weddings and individual’s feedback that has allowed me to push further into this field of photography. Producing wedding photos has, in the past given me such satisfaction although probably as much nerve shattering as getting married in itself I can imagine, its such an experience to produce something that's so important to a couple and that will last a lifetime. |
